Do I need a special charger for your lithium batteries?

Our batteries can be charged with any charger that does not have automatic rejuvenation or a pulse mode.

What is a maximum discharge voltage of a deep cycle lithium battery?

The lowest recommended discharge voltage for all our Batteries is 10.5V. The BMS will activate discharge protection at a approx 10V.

Can your lithium batteries blow up?

No. We use lithium iron phosphate cells (LiFePo4) which are the safest cells available. Lithium iron phosphate cells are not physically able to enter into thermal runaway.

What is the life of a lithium battery?

Depending on the application a direct replacement for like size would be expected to last approximately twice as long.

Can you use a DC to DC charger for deep cycle lithium batteries in a caravan?

Yes. Using a DC to DC charger for lithium deep cycle batteries is the preferred method of charging via an alternator.

Is it ok to use a maintenance charge on a lithium battery?

Yes, this will maintain the battery at a correct state of charge during storage.

Power World offered me $5.00 if I wrote a good review. I unlike it would seem many others am not corruptible, they lost most of the 2 stars for trying to corrupt me. Battery = SSB XR series RB7B-B Their delivery was prompt and the price fair I assume. However whilst the battery was bubble wrapped well enough it was then placed in a parcel post bag denying any opportunity for correct transport orientation. Whilst this battery is a dry cell type and will tolerate inversion and random orientation the instruction manual, compliance with being fundamental to future warranty claims, clearly states that transit should be in the upright position. This did not occur, and as such right there Power World, the middlemen, deny themselves a 5 star report. This is the second battery of this exact type, the previous one purchased in June 2016 and installed in an aircraft as a back avionics power source. This battery has given great service even suffering a complete discharge a year ago. This past event coupled with a recent sporadic amp indication led to the replacement. The sporadic amp indication likely caused by a small omission with the SSB battery. The terminal posts are lead alloy and terminals secure with a cheap pair of screws/nuts. The soft alloy terminal is subject to squash overtime and combined with the loose fitting threads allows the tension on the terminal to back off. This looseness can and does cause amp fluctuations. The solution is a simple spring washer which SSB omitted to include. This all highlights two things, the pervasiveness of corruption and its associated dishonesty in the present world and the penny pinching nature of SSB who know full well that a spring washer is critical.
